Don't Buy from Everjoint!!!!

The above was what a forummer, by the moniker of Chipdale, warned. If you are contemplating buying your electrical appliances from

Ever Joint Electrical Trading (永联电器贸易
#01-534, 159 Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 Singapore 560159

perhaps you may want to read about Chipdale's bad experience with them first.
Just want to share my BADDDD experience with everjoint... I bought most of mine electrical appliances including air con, tv, fridge, washing machine, fan, heater etc from everjoint as their price were quite good. And I thought it will be better and easier to organise the delivery if I buy everything from the same shop. BUT I WAS WRONG.
1. First was my air con piping installation. I think they got third party cheapo labour who are so irresponsible and just want to get their job done. The first thing they told me when they reached my place was that since i didnt covered my floor, they will not be responsible if they damaged my flooring during the process. And since mine was a new flat, I can always asks HDB to do the repair for me. Then when I requested them to run the piping through the rooms so that it looked "less ugly" from the living room, they "threatened" again. They said it will involve more hacking and drilling through the wall which mean more of the flooring will be damaged. So in the end I have to make lots of "false ceiling" to cover the piping at my own cost!!! And of course I have lots of "holes" on my parquet floor, door and basin after the whole installation.
2. Then I called to change the schedule for my delivery because my renovation was delayed. I even went down to the shop to confirm my amended schedule but on the original delivery date, i still get phone call for delivery!!! arrgg
3. the last incident was the one that pissed me off and made me wrote this entry. On the day of delivery, (I have placed the order and paid full amt 3+ mths ago) everjoint called me and said that the washing machine that I ordered was out of stock islandwide since 2-3 mth ago. And they asked me to take another model. We always research and buy those appliances that suit our needs. And now I have left with no choice but to buy a machine without even knowing how it looks like. I was even angrier because
a. They only informed me on the day of delivery and I need the machine as I’m moving in.
b. And I have to top up the difference but I requested him to absorb (which is only $17) bcos it’s his fault.  He refused and said if I don’t agree he will just refund the money or not delivered. It’s not the money issue here since I have spend more than 10k in his shop, it’s about services, responsibility and sincerity in solving the problem.
c. AND he claimed that he was helping me to solve my problem and it’s not their fault or problem !!!!
d. They never apologise
e. I got so angry and I started shouting at him (hee I’m a customer and I think I have the right after all the problem they have created) and guess what. He shouted back at me and refused to listen to me!!!!
So conclusion… I will never go back to everjoint again even thought their stuff are cheaper. Anyone who also have problem with them?

The prices offered by Ever Joint may be competitive but do you want to save a little money now and run the risk of disappointment and frustration later? In fact, Chipdale was not the only one who complained about Ever Joint. Here is another customer who has bad experience with Ever Joint.

Do not only compare prices, take note of service and delivery as well when buying home electrical appliances.

  1. Utterly disgusted by the service. Order taken and confirmed, but not delivered. Gave you a take it or leave it attitude, not even a word of apology.
Decided to cancal order and went to a shop at Alexandra Village. Made a purchase of the same model and to my surprise, I was given a better price compared to Ever joint without even asking for a discount. What a blessing in disguise!

  4. My friend recommended me this place when my kdk wall fan broke down. Went to this shop in the morning and it looked half empty . I saw a man (looks like the boss ) and a woman clerk in the office . I stood outside the glass door awaiting their attention but that guy who saw me took no notice of my presence. I waited another 10 minutes until the lady got out.I expect their price more competitive but I was disappointed. Well this shop is no better at all. I would recommend Goh Ah Bee at Kovan which still beat this one in all ways. I won't recommend this Everjoint shop to anyone.

    1. Not sure whether you know, the guy is blind so he might not be able to see you. My mum recently bought an air conditioner from them and the service was good with good quality piping. I guess it may depend on their contractor at that point in time.

    2. Ok leh, went in and the young man served me so well for more than an hour although i am not planning to purchase anything yet as i want to check prices with more places first

I think you need to go inside the shop and knock on the door and i am sure someone will served you ba as how wellington had explained

Price wise i also got go Goh ah Bee check, not as what you claim beats all items leh. I would say depend on the item you are looking at as from what i see small appliances goh ah bee better prices but bigger appliances ever joint prices better

Then tv i feel department stores prices better than both but depends on brand i guess because of the voucher

So i will recommend both location to shop at depending on the appliances you are looking for

  5. I will definitely stay away from this unethical company as they have delivered to me a display set with scratches and dents when the salesperson told me that I'm paying for a brand new set. Salesperson isn't friendly, cold and hostile...
Price wise, they are certainly not the most competitive as many other retailers are able to match if not, better their prices.
    Take your $ elsewhere instead.

  10. OK the store is selling at carousell as well under ejeletronic username. Another user gave me the address of the store. Because I want to order a large appliance I decided to call first to arrange for delivery, payment etc. Called this morning. The person in other side said: you started on carousell, continue on carousell. I asked if this was the store. He said yes, but other department (?). To my surprise he then just hung up on me! I personally will not support a store w this service even if couple dollars cheaper.

  11. Never Never try working for Ever Joint Electrical Trading in Blk 159 Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 #01-534
To start with: This is a family business with the Boss (Owner) who is visually impair, the no. 1 wife, the no. 2 wife, the son. They employed a S pass holder from India who worked almost 12 hours every day by 6 days each week without paying overtime a year ago to do delivery of big bulky items like fridges, washer, dryer etc. including disposal of old fridges, washer, dryer heater etc. Upon seeing an advertisement in the Straight Time, I applied and were hired with big disappointment which I hear from their clients that I were no. 8 in the list with no overtime pay and need to work long hours. The boss will only tell you the daily start time 0830 hrs but will not tell you a ending time. The ending time will depend on him and work load, and each day we will have to wait for him to tell you to leave which is around 1830 hrs. So in total we will have to work 10 hours each day without overtime pay. Worse of all, we will spent approx. 10 to 15 mins for lunch. After obtaining such information and experience, I decided to quick after working for a week. On my last day, I got a check for 1 week (Computation is super simple basic pay divided by 4) obviously without overtime pay. I demanded for overtime payment and the no 2 wife said we don't pay overtime, then she said it's okay you go report to mom. Better still, they don't even provide pay slip which is a violation to the labour law. A common practice is they would let you sign a payment voucher. I have seem this practice in so many local companies. A Very BAD attitude by no. 2 is that she can't talk properly to the staff, she must shout.

  12. Like the old saying..Every dog has its day. Just buy what u need, especially basic electrical items, not items like air-con that involves piping or plumbing services. If u r doing a reno or overhaul of your house, pls get a Prj Mgr or will hv to do all the proper planning.
If there is really a so-called best shop for everything, i will be worried then.

  16. Came across this post about 8 months after I already purchase my items from the shop.

Guess maybe I will not dare to approach them if I saw this post much earlier, but since I already done my purchase I shall input some of my personal comments.

My ID introduce me to EverJoint so I went down there to have a look since I need air con, storage heater, ceiling fan, fridge and a washing machine.

1st time I go down the lady boss serve me, a soft spoken lady who try to answer my enquires regarding some of the products I am looking at. In the end I only purchase the storage heater first as my ID needs to install it. Price not bad for the storage heater Joven brand as I save some money.

2nd time I went down to talk about air con and I was told I will be served by the boss. Went in and listen to his explanation but to be honest I feel his info really too much. Although he told me I should know what I am paying for but in the end I only absorbed 20% of what he say from head to toe as I don’t have much patience but I guess more info is better than no info.

In the end also purchase the air con from them and since my ID don’t do installation I let them “Bao” everything.

Ceiling fan I am looking for KDK fan, and from my check it seems their price is one of the best in the market but eventually my wife and I decide to buy from Malaysia as its cheaper and we need quite a number of it but please be warned their warranty not covered in SG so buy at your own risk.

Finally I went down to talk about my fridge and washing machine. I am planning to buy Samsung fridge and washing machine and the young man who serve me politely explained and introduce to me another brand which is Hitachi.

He let me know the pros and cons of both brands and eventually I took his advice and go for Hitachi fridge.

Then for my washing machine he also patiently explained to me the difference between opening from top or front types of washing machine. In the end I choose Samsung front opening washing machine as I want the hot water function for my baby clothes.

So till now it’s been 8 months already and ( “touch wood” ) so far everything are still going strong.

So like I said before, if I seen this post earlier I might avoid like everyone else but in my case it has been proven to be a good buy for me since I save quite a lot and their workmanship also not bad.

Not sure what happen in those donkey years ago when this post is created but as a recent satisfactory customer I will recommend you guys to try out since you don’t try you never know.

Every single electrical shop in Singapore also have complaints all over the internet and if I believe or trust them all 100% then I go where to buy my electrical appliances in future? So filter yourself and just take a pinch of salt out of any comments you see.

Alrighty that’s all and wish everyone have a pleasant shopping experience in future in any store you all seen deem fit.

  18. Do not ever buy from Ever joint Electrical.

Brought a TV online via Shopee from this seller. The delivery guy delivered the TV set and my husband received the item.

However the delivery guy insisted that we must click accepted on Shopee immediately. As I was at work and my husband has no access to my Shopee app he was unable to click it. And the delivery guy took the TV back.

I was appalled when I went home that evening. I called Shopee and was advised by Shopee to only click receive after I received and check that the TV is in good working condition.

Thereafter, I left a message to the seller to re deliver the TV but they refused to reply. After 3 days, I called them up to check with them on when they can re deliver the TV.

Still they insisted that I must click receive upon delivery. I told him that Shopee had advised me to check first before I can click on acceptance. I suggested for them to deliver it and I can check the item on the spot and click acceptance. But this person over the phone refused to even let me unbox to check the item. He even blamed me for having to re deliver the item.

This nasty person over the phone hung up my call after screaming and shouting over the phone.

I would never ever recommend anybody from buying from this company.
    No customer service, bad attitude.
Buy at your own risk!! If you received a faulty item, I could even imagine if anybody from this company would even entertain you after they collected their money.

There are many other shops that can provide a better buying experience.
